Jon joins the party

In the midst of site renovations, Jon (to the right) jumps into the creative party here at III. From a illustration and art backdrop, Jon now drops beats like a mad man. His interest is definitely genuine although his profile text reads a little like a desperate hook-up scheme: "Music maker extrodinare in the electronic hip hop realm-department. Sometimes it's filmsy times with the boys. Living large in the city of Oslove. Gimme a shout, ladies... " Don't be scared.

Check more of this man of love here.

Ola Jay, okay?

.

This highly skilled graphic and three dee film man works his magic on films and animations from his work at a post house in Oslo but first and foremost right here, with the III group. A very good addition to the international.

Check more of this man here. Stay tuned for more members and a real webpage renovation comin up!

Tarjei's in town!

.

Another III Oslo member makes the cut! Tarjei's currently roaming the streets of Oslo while working on several genre ideas with his fellow III people in that city. Coming from the European Film School in Denmark with an amazingly inspiring western short film under his arm, he's definitely ready to leave a mark. Check out the short film above, currently in competition at Cloud Festival.

Fish tank psychedelia

.

As promised, the Oslo division has gotten their shit together and started producing some collective, visual mind blow. The composite experiment consists of footage shot on location with its main character, the character on green screen, a clean slate of the background, good times, milk in a fish tank and lots of colors.

Tune back for more this coming week. Everything will be posted online.

Video communication

With weekly sunday meetings, the oslo division is definitely expected to have a high level of production this winter. With this is mind we can all say good-bye to the last year with a good conscious and ecstatic, fever-pitch expectation for what's to come.

This thing here is by Henrik, featuring Øystein.

Street car Pop

December is finally upon us and although we're super busy with other things at III we still manage to squeeze in some creative/chillmode/good-times. Daniel is working on the video from the latest III Oslo film sessions and Henrik just finished some 'live' videos of Jonas Aasen playing acoustic and original songs at Poptrikken (the pop music street car), opening Popsenteret in Oslo the weekend before last.

As the snow starts to fall and more of us are freed up in the new year, expect a wave of creative production. See you round the bend!

More of Jonas Aasen on facebook.

Oslo film sessions

As a way to keep in filmic shape a III crew of Oslo film, art and photography friends have started up a sunday activity of 'screen tests'. These tests are honest and informal experiments that will keep having a improvisational nature to them. An athlete has to keep fit and so does a filmmaker.

Pictured above Henrik Dyb Zwart, Øystein K. Dyb, Sophia Saenger and Ola Jacob are all giving us their best side, while Andreas Turau is responsible for the shot (Jon Bjørsol unfortunaly missed the shoot due to Henrik's miscalculations). Additional Oslo members and affiliations from similar III brainstorms are expected to join in the next few rounds.

Picasso and snackin birds

On the day of thanksgiving in the wonderful country of Canada, to this day a constitutional monarchy under Queen Elisabeth II, we present a small series of new works by our wonderful member Sverre Søndervik Sæther. Someone who has visited Canada, but not on thanksgiving. Unfortunately for him.

Check more of the new creations here.

Cuttin video music

Down where sight meets construction and middle-ages ruins neighbor shut-down factories and train yards, Henrik's made a new, groovy live video series with the excellent and brand fresh acoustic band Cuttin' the Rug. The latter group of handsome, young rock and rollers are playing their original, harmonical rock and roll tunes in the city of satan next wednesday at Skuret. Be sure to check it out if you're wandering those streets of solitude and regret of Oslo and need a good, soulful pick up in the great, grim tradition of such music - 50 kroners a hit.

Check the rest of the videos on III's vimeo account : vimeo.com/iii
Check more of Cutttin the Rug on their Facebook page. And catch their gig, if you're in town: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=161101303977365

More people, more music

Following last week's exiciting release of the Cursive and Graffiti mixtape by our very own Ray, another musical member joins the website. Axel Toreg Reite's already well versed in the III projects, composing music for Dysphoria and Vestlandsfilmen. Championin' the bass guitar, Axel's continously in a number of bands while studying music down south in le norvege.

Check out some of his skills here and III projects he's involved in here.

Cursive and Graffiti now online!

Very big news, everyone; the long awaited mash-up album by Ray is now finished and online! Ray aka Speakerboxfox holds his promises and delivers an entire, 22-track long, album of hip-hop and mash-up wonder. The album is a truly inspiring labor of love and sets another bar for this artist-run organization to try to follow.

Ray's generosity even means you can listen and download the whole thing through soundcloud here, on the CnG page. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Tune back in for more.

R for Wrapped

Øystein's Project R has now wrapped shooting. Like producer and exellent on-set bbq-er Tae Kim sums it up; "it's all in the can". Øystein, seen here shouting for more frappachino-lattes while the cameraman attempts a daring escape across the river, is bringing the cans with him to le Noruega and into post-production while a happy crew sits back and relaxes in Montreal.

Check the 'Projects' tab for more on the film.

Project R # 5

Project R is Øystein's working title for everything without a name yet. Following a series of four previous achivements in student and independent filmmaking, this project is sure to be something very interesting once it's completed.

Shooting begins outside of Montreal at the end of this month. Local actors are in rehearsals, a DIY rain water system has been made and the scene is soon set for a moody, suspenseful short.

There is also more news on the previously titled 'Untitled 16mm Project', with the current name Dysphoria. Check the 'Projects' tab for information on both films.

DTJRN on VMO

Hello All. Here is another little video that has been made by some of us. It was shot last summer. It's part pre-viz for a thesis film, part high-iso experiment and part short film for fun.

The guilty are Jon Bjørsol, Axel Toreg Reite and Ola Nesande as creeps while Karina Dyb Zwart acts the role of the mysterious girl. Henrik Dyb Zwart was behind the camera and wrote.

Hate the like

Facebook updates have forced AM's beloved, deserted group to regroup on a page. Tarskovski has opened up the Anger Management (army) page for those in the interest-field. Wherever they be. You should pursuit this oppertunity to be subordinately consuming the Anger Management, instead of being a part of it, like the group was. But maybe it never was. Admins accepted.

The year is 2006, Sverre and Henrik and Jesper Magerøy and Jonas Aasen are living together for a week in Paris. What the hell is there to do in such a city at night anyways?

Peace.

New Issue of Issue

Exellent news, people. There is now a new issue of Issue currently on the academic streets of Queen's University and Kingston, Ontario. There will be no other distribution. 50 photocopies. That is final. There might be an online version online here eventually. But until that time comes along. Go get one.

Peace.
